Description: This project consisted of a complete renovation to the Walker Building on the State Hospital Campus. The building contained approximately 110,000 square feet of space (or renovated office space) and 40,000 square feet of basement space. Existing roof was slate and was removed, with new slate installed. The building is energy efficient with illumination systems, heat ventilation, air conditioning systems, and is wired for communications and data. The work included general construction, excavation and backfill, grading and paving, new footings, steel framing, new masonry and repair of existing masonry, gypsum board systems at interior walls, clad wood windows, interior finishes, acoustic ceilings, casework and trim, elevators, machinery, fire protection, and electrical.
