At Meridian Construction, we are committed to creating the safest work environment possible for our employees, clients and all others. We take a great deal of pride in organizing the best solutions and programs available for workplace safety—as we know that accident prevention is not only our most important responsibility, but also the only way to operate a successful business.

It all begins with good policies and procedures. Our employees are taught to recognize worksite dangers, implement effective strategies for prevention, and ensure that others are following with the same care.

Over the last few years, Tim Long, President of Meridian, has been presented with multiple annual safety awards for construction excellence from Associated Builders and Contractors (NH/VT Chapter)—including Zero Lost Time Cases and First Place within its division. This is just an example of Meridian's award-winning approach. Safety is not an issue we consider secondary to industry standards, but it is one of our highest concerns. Our goal is to make sure every employees goes home safely everyday.

Company Policy Manuals are provided to all workers upon hiring. And we post safety information and emergency information on bulletin boards around every job site. A periodic review of policy and training is held every month at meetings between Superintendents and Safety Committees.
